Frequently Asked Questions
- What does a precut PPF kit include?
- Film only. Each kit ships with LLumar paint protection film panels plotted for your specific vehicle and coverage, labeled by position. An installation tool kit is available as an add-on. Installation is not included.
- Which package should I choose?
- The Front Bumper Kit covers the single most vulnerable panel. The Partial Front PPF Kit adds partial hood, partial fenders and mirror caps. The Full Front PPF Kit is the most popular choice and covers full hood, bumper, full fenders, mirrors and headlights. The Track Pack PPF Kit adds rockers and high-impact side areas, and the Full Body PPF Kit covers the applicable painted exterior.
- Why does the price change by vehicle?
- Larger vehicles use significantly more film. Prices shown are starting prices; the exact price appears once you select year, make, model and trim, based on pattern size, film consumption, number of panels and film type.
- Can I order a single replacement piece?
- Yes. Individual kits are available for hood, bumper, fenders, mirrors, headlights, rockers, doors, door cups, door edges, A-pillars and the rear bumper luggage strip, so a piece damaged during installation can be reordered on its own. For help choosing the right piece, email support@precutly.com. Support hours are Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM Eastern Time.
- Can I install a kit myself?
- Many coverages are DIY-friendly. Every product page shows a difficulty rating of Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced plus an estimated installation time. Professional installation is recommended for larger coverages.
- Where can I learn more about LLumar paint protection film?
- All PRECUTLY kits are cut from genuine LLumar paint protection film. For film technology, warranty and performance details straight from the manufacturer, visit the official LLumar PPF page.
- Which precut tint kits can I order?
- Choose Front Two Windows, Full Car, Sun Strip or Front Windshield. The Full Car kit covers the side and rear glass; coverage varies by vehicle, with rear door and quarter glass included only where applicable and supported. The front windshield is sold separately.
- What size is the sun strip?
- Choose a 6-inch strip, an 8-inch strip or a strip cut to your vehicle's AS1 line. Confirm local tint laws before selecting a size or shade.
- What tint shades are available?
- Carbon and ceramic films are offered in 5%, 20%, 35%, 42%, 50% and 70%. Check the tint laws in your state before ordering.
- What is the difference between carbon and ceramic?
- Carbon film gives a flat, non-reflective look with solid heat rejection. Ceramic film rejects more heat and infrared at the same visible shade, which keeps the interior cooler without going darker.
- Are the tint pieces cut for my glass?
- Yes. Every piece is plotted for your specific year, make and model and labeled by window position, so there is no cutting on the glass.
- Do I need any tools?
- A basic install needs a spray bottle, slip solution, a squeegee and a heat source for shrinking rear glass. An installation tool kit is available as an add-on.
- Where can I learn more about LLumar ceramic window tint?
- PRECUTLY tint kits are cut from genuine LLumar window film. For ceramic tint technology, warranty and performance details straight from the manufacturer, visit the official LLumar ceramic tint page.
- Where can I learn more about LLumar dyed window tint?
- PRECUTLY tint kits are cut from genuine LLumar window film. For dyed tint technology, warranty and performance details straight from the manufacturer, visit the official LLumar dyed tint page.
- How much is shipping and how fast is it?
- Free U.S. shipping on all orders of $75 or more, everywhere in the U.S., including Alaska, Hawaii and U.S. territories. Orders under $75 pay $6.99 flat shipping to the contiguous 48 states, or $11.99 flat shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands and other U.S. territories. Orders ship from Massachusetts. Delivery estimates via USPS: 3–5 business days for the contiguous 48 states; 5–10 business days for Alaska, Hawaii and U.S. territories.
- Can I return a precut kit?
- Unopened kits can be returned within 30 days. Opened or installed kits are final sale, except pieces damaged in shipping or patterns that don't match your vehicle — those we replace free. Unopened kits must be in original condition; the 30-day return window starts on delivery and eligible returns receive a full refund. Cut for your exact year, make, model and trim. If a piece doesn't fit your vehicle, we recut it free. If we can't make it right, you get your money back. Contact support@precutly.com for help. Support hours are Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM Eastern Time.
- Why do you need my VIN?
- The VIN confirms the exact model, trim and body style so the correct pattern is plotted. It is optional at checkout; we will request it by email after your order if we need it to confirm fitment.
- Can professional installers order in volume?
- Yes. Approved verified installers receive 25% off retail kit prices and replacement pieces with no minimum order. Ordering 10 or more kits per month qualifies for 30% off. Normal free shipping on orders $75+ applies. Trade prices appear only after application approval. For questions, email support@precutly.com — support hours are Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM Eastern Time.
- Do you supply replacement pieces for shops?
- Individual panel kits can be ordered on their own, which lets a shop replace a single damaged section instead of buying another full kit.
- How are the patterns cut?
- Patterns are plotted from vehicle-specific data and cut on a plotter, then checked by installers before they ship.
